KAISO
An artist based in Tokyo, born and raised in Ibaraki, Japan. Since childhood, KAISO has created by expanding small imagined worlds — from doll clothing to miniature cityscapes.Drawing and writing have been a natural part of her life, with a focus on painting.
After studying art in Japan and London, KAISO began her professional career as a painter in 2018. Working primarily with acrylics, KAISO depicts inner environments that emerge from within.

Ordinary moments in daily life or while traveling sometimes carry a quiet, universal warmth that brings forgotten feelings back to the surface.
My works—soft, without clear outlines, and quietly existing—may seem to hold no fixed statement. Yet their foggy atmosphere invites viewers to pause and enter a quiet dialogue, in contrast to the speed of a constantly changing world.
The landscapes I depict are not based on specific places, but emerge through an intuitive process in which inner sensations and memories gradually surface over time. Layers of paint accumulate as traces of time, where flowing horizontal movement and falling vertical lines intersect. Earlier layers and parts of the canvas remain uncovered, existing as incomplete spaces within the work.
Each piece is singular, yet when it resonates with someone’s inner memory or landscape, time begins to move quietly.
